Di Botcher
Biography
Di Botcher is a Welsh actress who, after studying English and drama at Warwick University and training at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London, built a long career on stage and screen. She was born in Port Talbot and gained her Equity card in the 1980s. Early stage work included the musical Blood Brothers with the Sherman Theatre Company in 1986, where a reviewer singled out her warm-hearted mother as a highlight, and the 2003 play Black Milk drew praise for her contribution to a strong cast. A revival of Follies in 2017 and 2018 was widely admired. On television she has appeared in the Sky comedy drama Stella, the BBC comedies Little Britain and Tittybangbang, the period drama Downton Abbey, and since 2018 has played Jan Jenning in Casualty and Nana Margie in In My Skin. She also appeared in BBC Radio 4's The Archers in 2022.
