David Sutcliffe
Biography
David Sutcliffe is a Canadian former actor who became known for playing Christopher Hayden on Gilmore Girls and Detective Aidan Black on Cracked. Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and raised in Ontario, he studied English literature at the University of Toronto's Victoria College. His television work also included roles on Cold Feet, I'm with Her, Private Practice, and Proof, and he appeared in a 1995 episode of Nancy Drew. Among his films are Cake (2005), Testosterone (2003), Under the Tuscan Sun, and Misconceptions, plus the television movies Murder in the Hamptons and Before You Say I Do (2009). He produced and directed the documentary series Group and announced his retirement from acting in 2019.
