David Mendenhall

David Mendenhall is an American actor who started performing as a child and is best known for playing Sylvester Stallone's son in Over the Top (1987) and for voice roles on the television series The Transformers and The Berenstain Bears. Born in Oceanside, California, he began acting at age four and from 1980 to 1986 played Mike Webber on the soap opera General Hospital, work that earned him Young Artist Awards and a Soap Opera Digest Award. He made his film debut in the Roger Corman production Space Raiders (1983) and appeared in the animated Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer (1985). Other credits include Going Bananas, The Secret of the Ice Cave and Streets, and a recurring part on the drama Our House. He later studied at California State University, San Bernardino and the University of Southern California, worked in legal and prize departments for entertainment companies, and returned to acting in God Bless America in 2012.
