Bob DeSimone

Bob DeSimone is an American actor and drummer who was born in Boston. He first made his name as a musician, moving to California and quickly finding work as a drummer in the early 1970s, performing with many prominent bands both live and in the studio and backing artists such as Lightnin' Hopkins, Big Mama Thornton, Albert King and Chuck Berry. He later turned to comedy and acting, and is probably best known for playing Billy, a mental health worker, in the horror film Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (1985). He appeared in Savage Streets (1984) and in Angel III: The Final Chapter. He also appeared on the comedy show Make Me Laugh and headlined at The Comedy Store and the Improv. He formed a country rock band called Country, signed to Atlantic Records, and opened for acts including Fleetwood Mac and the Bee Gees. He left acting in 1983 and has continued to play drums.
