Aubrey Mallalieu

Aubrey Mallalieu was an English actor who spent a long career in supporting parts, accumulating 115 screen appearances between the 1930s and his death in 1948. He was born in Liverpool, the son of a stage comedian, and adopted the stage name Aubrey early in his acting life. Little was recorded of his stage years before the screen, though he was believed to have toured with stage companies in New Zealand and Australia during the 1900s and 1910s. His first named screen credit came in 1934. Most of what followed were minor roles in quota quickies and B pictures, but he also worked in prestigious productions, among them The Stars Look Down (1940) and The Young Mr. Pitt (1942). Later credits included Frieda (1947) and The Winslow Boy (1948).
