Annabel Brooks
Biography
Annabel Brooks is a British actress who has worked in film and television since the 1980s. She attended Badminton School and Columbia University before leaving her studies to act. Her first screen part came in 1987, as Eliza in Nightflyers. In 1988 she played Daisy in A Handful of Dust, a British adaptation of Evelyn Waugh's novel, and she also had a role in Paris by Night, which David Hare wrote and directed. She went on to appear in The Witches (1990), drawn from Roald Dahl's book, and in Love Is the Devil: Study for a Portrait of Francis Bacon (1998), John Maybury's film for the British Film Institute and BBC Film. There she played Henrietta Moraes, an artists' model who inspired painters of the Soho subculture in the 1950s and 1960s.
