Andreja Pejic
Biography
Andreja Pejic is an Australian actress who was scouted as a model while working at McDonald's after moving from Tuzla to Melbourne as a child. She later walked for Jean-Paul Gaultier in both his men's and women's Paris shows and for Marc Jacobs in his men's shows in 2011. She ranked number 18 on the Models.com Top 50 Models list that year and in 2012 was a guest judge on the program Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model. In 2016 GQ Portugal named her Best International Female Model. She shifted to acting in 2013, appearing in David Bowie's video for The Stars (Are Out Tonight) and making her television debut as Radu the Beautiful in the Turkish series Fatih. Her first major film role came in the crime thriller The Girl in the Spider's Web (2018). She later played Nino in The Other Me (2022) and Amanda Lear in Dalíland (2022).

A change of course
Pejic has said she was discovered at a swimming pool while attending high school in Melbourne, but she was also scouted as a model shortly before her 17th birthday during a shift at McDonald's.
First role
In late 2013, Pejic made her acting debut as Radu the Beautiful in Fatih, a Turkish television series that was short-lived and drew on the life of Mehmed the Conqueror.
A change of course
Pejic took a waitressing job at El Nido in Santa Fe for six months after filming The Other Me, telling Gamerant Magazine she wanted to ground herself and do something normal.
Behind the camera
Pejic has been directing her own autobiographical documentary, filming it over seven years, after feeling the media did not understand her and interviews made her uncomfortable.
