Andrea Thompson

Andrea Thompson is an American actress and voiceover artist who has worked in television, film, and news broadcasting. Born in Dayton, Ohio, and raised partly in Australia, she studied acting at the Strasberg Studio and the Herbert Berghof Studio under Uta Hagen. Her first significant film role came in Wall Street (1987), and she played Nurse Helen Caldwell in Delirious (1991). On television, she was cast as Genele Ericson on Falcon Crest, played telepath Talia Winters on Babylon 5, and portrayed Commander Alison Krennick on JAG. She spent four seasons as Detective Jill Kirkendall on NYPD Blue, leaving in 2000 to pursue journalism. She worked as a general assignment reporter in Albuquerque before joining CNN Headline News as an evening anchor, and later hosted Psychic Detectives on Court TV. She returned to acting with guest roles on 24, Bones, and Criminal Minds.
