Anders Hove
Biography
Born in Greenland, Anders Hove is an actor and director with Danish and Greenlandic roots who trained at Det Kongelige Teater's school in the 1970s before starting a professional acting career in the 1980s. He worked mainly in Danish theater and film at first, then moved to the United States, where he appeared in Tales From the Crypt and played the ship's captain in Critters 4 (1992). Television brought him a long-running part as the villainous Cesar Faison on ABC's General Hospital, a character he also played on Loving and Port Charles and revisited in 1999 and from 2012 to 2014. His first substantial film role was Nalle in In the Middle of the Night (1984). He became known to horror fans as the vampire Radu Vladislas, introduced in Subspecies (1991) and continued in three sequels. Returning to Denmark in the mid 1990s, he became a favorite of the Dogme directors, often playing a bad guy.
