Al Roker
Biography
Al Roker is an American weather presenter, journalist and author who was born in Queens, New York City, and started out as a weather anchor at a CBS station in Syracuse before moving to NBC affiliates in Cleveland and New York. He took over the weekday weather slot on NBC's Today in 1996, where his remote forecasts and interviews became a staple, and he has also co-hosted the show's third hour and, since 1995, been part of NBC's broadcast of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. He created the animated PBS Kids program Weather Hunters and voices a character in it, wrote mystery novels with Dick Lochte that led to the Hallmark movie Morning Show Mysteries: Mortal Mishaps (2018), and appeared on Broadway in Waitress.
