Plot summary
Brady is a devout Christian who moves with his mother from Kansas to Rock Haven, California, to spread the word of the Lord. While roaming the beach, he meets Clifford, whose family lives next door, and finds himself attracted to him. The attraction is one Brady has been suppressing. Clifford is outgoing and athletic. Brady is uneasy around girls, and his mother sets him up with Peggy, a Christian girl. Clifford soon makes it clear that the attraction is mutual.
