Plot summary
In 1982, killings at Crippen High School left the town shaken and the culprit unpunished. Years afterward, the producer Harry Sleerik brings Cosmic Pictures to Crippen to shoot Horror High, a dramatization of the case, and the cast and crew move into the shuttered school to save money. Callie Cassidy is hired to play several parts. Sleerik pushes her toward on-screen nudity while Arthur Lyman, the screenwriter, rewrites scenes for extra gore. When the lead actor quits, Steven Blake, a police officer who once attended Crippen High, is brought in to replace him. Principal Kastleman serves as the production's technical advisor. People attached to the shoot begin to vanish, and Chief Deyner and Officer Tyler take up the inquiry.
