Plot summary
Japanese colonial rule has left Korea's people in despair. Hwang Jae-ho believes a cycling championship can give the country something to cheer for, and he sets out to win it. Um Bok-dong takes up the sport alongside Jae-ho, drawn by the money a racing career might bring rather than by any cause. The competition they enter pits them against Japanese cyclists.
