Purusha Pretham (2023) on Netflix

Plot summary

SI Sebastian likes to tell dramatic stories about his own bravery, stories that do not match what actually happened, and he is corrupt like many officers around him. When a dead man is pulled from the water, neither Sebastian's team nor the police on the other bank want the case, so a handyman named Kesavan is paid to push the body across. Kesavan takes a ring from the corpse and tells Dileep, Sebastian's loyal subordinate, who keeps the ring hidden. Sebastian's team takes the case and wants it closed fast; with no space left in the mortuary, Dileep hands the body to a gravedigger for burial in a public cemetery. Sebastian also keeps company with Sujatha, who is hunting for a husband who has disappeared.
