Plot summary
In 1979, a lumberjack named Carl is abducted by aliens while working in Alaska. Decades later, Isaac, a young computer engineer, begins keeping a video diary. Following a hike through the woods, he comes across a flying saucer and an alien. He wakes three days later near the water and begins having hallucinations. A doctor finds that a bone in his body is broken with a precise cut. Isaac's camera captured the encounter, and when he uploads the footage it goes viral. News outlets, the media, and government officials question him about what happened. Certain that signs of alien life appear throughout history, Isaac searches online for other accounts and finds a post by Sara, a girl his age who describes a similar experience. They meet at a local diner.
