Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Pelikan Blue (2023)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Kék Pelikan, a 2024 Hungarian animated documentary, is based on a genuine wave of train-ticket forgery in Hungary around 1990, involving tickets valid for international rail travel, and the film traces both the story and its aftermath.
- The film's title spells "Pelikan" that way because it was a brand name: one of the indigo carbon-paper brands railway staff used in the ticket-issuing system, and practically the only copy paper that let the film's heroes forge tickets more or less undisturbed.
