Plot summary
Three companies of American paratroopers, all of them volunteers, take on a mission that comes before the main airborne attack of D-Day. Known as the Pathfinders, they jump into France thirty minutes ahead of the Normandy invasion. On the ground their job is to find the zones chosen for the troops who follow, mark them, and get the top-secret navigation aids into place. A Eureka transmitter and a searchlight are part of that equipment, and they guide the planes in.
