Plot summary
The ninth grade's parents have been called to a meeting by their teacher, Dārta, who hopes it will give a professional impression. They arrive long after the hour she set, and their behavior is childish. Jānis, a businessman, is among the latecomers, and Žanete, who presides over the parents' school council, comes in with flowers and a gift. Valts and Laine, whose marriage is open, amuse themselves with truth or dare. Maija and Raivo, whose divorce is recent, trade barbs. The main item on the table is the children's graduation, and the debate over it turns into an escalating quarrel among the parents.
