Our Day Will Come (2010) on Netflix

Plot summary

Rémy is a red-headed teenager and an outcast in northwestern France. His soccer teammates pick on him, and at home he argues with his mother and younger sister in a cramped apartment. When violence flares in the household, he runs away. Patrick, a bitter psychiatrist who is also red-headed, finds him. Patrick meets the boy's sullen insolence with a mixture of sympathy and scorn, and decides that Rémy needs to be toughened up. A photograph of red-haired people in Ireland gives Rémy a destination, and he makes Patrick take him there. They drive off in a red Porsche, expecting redheads to be treated well in Ireland.
