Plot summary
Wu Renyao, called Ah Yao, spends his time on motorcycles. His father, Wu Renteng, has been absent for many years, and the two meet again and begin to bond. Walking at night, Yao steps into a restaurant and sees Zhou Huansong, a young waitress, so he tries to play a song for her on the jukebox. Her brother Zhou Huange interrupts him; the two argue, and Yao punches him. Huange leads a motorcycling gang, and he and Yao become friends. Yao's skill on a bike earns him a place in the group, which brings him nearer to Huansong. A rival gang cheats in their drag race, sabotaging the group's bikes on the track.
