The Alabi sisters are accomplished, and each is at a different point in her romantic life. Toke, thirty-three, keeps to relationships without commitment and prefers younger men to men her own age or older. Christabel, thirty-one, is too absorbed in her career to notice men at all and holds exacting standards for the man she might want. Vivian, twenty-nine, has been with her boyfriend for ten years and waits for him to propose. Their youngest sister, Kitan, twenty-five, wants a husband and a large family and plans to have both by marrying her fiancé. Kitan becomes engaged and asks her three sisters to be her bridesmaids.
