Plot summary
Through dozens of interviews, the documentary examines the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, from the emergence of Zionism through the Second Intifada to Israel's plan for unilateral disengagement. Those interviewed include academics, clergy, humanitarian workers and representatives of nongovernmental groups, most of them American or Israeli, and the film says that over half are Jewish. They describe injustices and human rights abuses that they attribute to Israeli policy in Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem. The documentary also questions the relationship between Israel and the United States, especially the ethics of American financial involvement. It has won awards at several film festivals, including the Golden Palm at the 2007 Beverly Hills International Film Festival.
