Plot summary
Keith and Candice Marie are a couple who love nature and follow the Country Code. They choose a quiet spot at a campsite in Dorset and pitch their tent there. Their days go to outings such as Corfe Castle, a quarry and a farm selling unpasteurized milk, and to vegetarian dinners and their own guitar and banjo songs. A student and trainee PE teacher named Ray camps nearby and switches on his radio, which they treat as an unforgivable crime and try to make him turn off.

- The producer David Rose, who came from Purbeck, suggested filming there and asked Mike Leigh to shoot everything outdoors under the skies; Leigh kept to it except for about eighty seconds in the Greyhound pub near Corfe Castle and one short toilet scene.
- The film was shot at Corfe Castle Campsite, located just outside Corfe Castle, and that campsite is still in use.
- Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer chose Nuts in May to close At Home with Vic and Bob in 1993, an evening of programmes they scheduled.
