Plot summary
On a flight from New York City to London, a bomb threat in the first-class lounge proves to be an elaborate prank. A letter reaches safety official Davenport, giving notice that killings will happen aboard the aircraft before it reaches London. He and his colleagues check the records of everyone on board for possible suspects, while Captain Larkin tries to keep the cabin calm. Millard Kensington, a teenager with a history of pranks against the airline, is suspected at first, but he knows nothing about the letter. Attention then turns to Otto Gruenwaldt, who holds Dr. Kenyon Walker responsible for the death of his wife.
