Plot summary
Donald, a construction worker who is middle-aged and overweight, has a wife, May, who has taken up gourmet cooking in an effort to make the two of them seem classier. At lunch his friends Roosevelt and Phillip eat bologna-and-cheese sandwiches while Donald is handed crab sandwiches and other dishes he does not want. May also buys an oversized Major Electric microwave oven, which turns out meals that are worse in half the time. One night Donald comes home drunk and an argument with May ends with him striking her with a large salt shaker. The next morning he wakes with a hangover, cannot recall the night before, and his stomach growls.
