Mees Kees op de planken (2014) on Netflix

Plot summary

The school year is almost over, and Mees Kees's class is getting ready for the big end-of-term play. Tobias is nervous about performing, but the children expect that things will be fine with their teacher in charge. They look forward to afternoons spent rehearsing and painting scenery. Then they hear what Principal Dreus has chosen: a medieval play they consider terribly boring, which is to be put on in a dusty room at a nearby retirement home. Mees Kees does not follow the plan the way the principal intends, and the pupils set about improvising a version of their own instead.
