Plot summary

In 1993, Martin Lawrence performs a stand-up set for a sold-out crowd at the Majestic Theatre in New York City, material that became his first major film and his first stand-up act. He wears a black leather suit and works through topics that include his own success, his upbringing, sexual acts and racism. The film helped establish him during the early 1990s, generated more than $10 million at the box office, and found a further audience through late-night airings on HBO and Cinemax.
