Plot summary
Dress to Kill was recorded in San Francisco during a world tour and continues Eddie Izzard's surrealist, ideas-based comedy. Izzard calls herself an executive transvestite and explains how that background affected a wish to join the military, proposing an army's first transvestite brigade with good makeup and a gun. The routines consider the American idea of history and the Heimlich maneuver. The centerpiece retells British history from Stonehenge through the Reformation, with the Pope, speaking Italian and miming a Vespa, telling Henry VIII that he may not take as many wives as he wishes.
