Martin Lawrence Live: Runteldat (2002) on Netflix

Plot summary

The comedian steps back in front of an audience at the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., after a stretch away from the stage. He uses the set to answer the stories that filled the press in the months before the performance, the personal and legal troubles that kept him out of view, and the picture of himself he says the public has been handed. From there the show moves through the subjects he has lived with: marriage, his own divorce, the arrival of children, and the passage into old age. The material mixes sharp observations about the wider culture with stories drawn from his own life, including his take on the dangers of smoking and the difficulties of relationships.
