Plot summary
His third special for HBO was taped in front of an audience at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, and the set is built on social commentary. Gun control and President Clinton are among his subjects, alongside racism, homophobia, black leaders and relationships. The stage show was also issued as an album. That release keeps the same live material and adds comic sketches recorded in a studio, with a group of other performers taking part. Its running order moves through pieces titled Black Mall, Crazy White Kids, No Sex, Taxes, Insurance, Race, Women and Me & ODB. The album took the Grammy Award for Best Spoken Comedy Album in 2000.
