Plot summary
At a Wu Lin Wang competition, Tai Chi disciple Tiger Chen catches the attention of Donaka Mark, who runs an illegal fighting operation and offers him large sums of money to fight. Tiger turns him down, since payment for combat would cost him his honor. Land inspectors then rule the temple where he trains structurally unsafe and intend to demolish it. Tiger seeks historic protection status for the building, arguing that the temple is a place of peace and wellbeing, but the repairs need more money than he can raise. He accepts Donaka's offer. The bouts are staged as gladiatorial contests for wealthy spectators. Hong Kong police officer Sun-Jing is investigating Donaka's operation.
