Tiger Hu Chen

Tiger Chen is a stuntman, martial artist and actor from China who grew up in Chengdu, Sichuan, where he studied Chinese martial arts and later joined the Sichuan Wushu Team, winning the National Youth Martial Arts Competition. He moved to the United States at 19 and in the 2000s began studying under the Hong Kong martial artist Yuen Woo-ping. Chen started in film in 1998 as an assistant on the fight choreography team of The Matrix and later worked as a choreographer on Charlie's Angels, Once in the Life and Kill Bill: Volume 1. He took a minor part as a ronin in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and appeared in House of Fury (2005). After leads in Kung Fu Man (2012), he played the title role in Man of Tai Chi (2013) opposite director Keanu Reeves. He co-starred in Triple Threat (2019) and earned World Stunt Award nominations for the second Matrix film.
