Man in Love (2021) on Netflix

Plot summary

A Cheng makes his living as a small-time gangster. His work is collecting debts, and he is kind-hearted. He meets Hao-Ting Wu, who is debt-ridden and looks after her ailing father without complaint. A Cheng learns that she has been carrying the debt by herself, and he becomes deeply attracted to her. Rather than press her for the money, he proposes a scheme of his own: he will take care of her bills, and each date she goes on with him reduces what she owes. Hao-Ting Wu agrees to the arrangement, and the two of them begin spending time together. He courts her clumsily.
