Plot summary
Matthew Morning works at a Los Angeles clothing store that the rising pop musician Oliver frequents. One afternoon Matthew plays an overlooked song he loves over the store speakers, impressing Oliver. Oliver gives him a backstage pass to a concert and then invites him to join his entourage as a documentarian. Oliver's friends meet Matthew with skepticism and resistance, but they accept him as he contributes visual elements to Oliver's upcoming album cycle. Matthew quits his retail job. He also becomes a known social media figure through his association with Oliver, and his former co-worker Jamie, a fan, asks to meet Oliver.
