Plot summary
Lidda Daniels is eighteen and unhappy in Southern California. She leaves to find Charlie, her father, who gambled for a living and abandoned her years earlier. Her boyfriend wants a carefree life, and the two of them are at odds. On the way toward Las Vegas, she picks up Colonel, a clerk at a video store. The two of them have never spoken, though she finds him attractive.

- In the third week of the Las Vegas shoot, production moved to the closed Rockabilly's Saloon and Dance Hall on Boulder Highway. The building was renovated to serve as a strip club called Tony's Dollhouse in the film, and was reportedly going to reopen as a real strip club once filming finished there.
- For the second week of the shoot, filming moved to a soundstage at Lear Entertainment's new production facility in Las Vegas, which was still under construction while the film was being made there.
