Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Loveyatri (2018)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Loveyatri was first titled Loveratri, a pun on the Navratri festival, until the Vishva Hindu Parishad complained the title distorted the festival. A court in Bihar then ordered police to file an FIR against Salman Khan and the cast, and Khan renamed the film Loveyatri on 18 September 2018.
- On 27 September 2018 the Supreme Court ruled that no coercive action could be taken against Salman Khan's production company anywhere in India over Loveyatri, noting the film had been cleared by the CBFC yet had an FIR registered in Bihar and a criminal complaint pending in Vadodara.
- The day after Salman Khan renamed the film Loveyatri, the Gujarat-based Sanatan Foundation filed a Public Interest Litigation against the new name, saying it still sounded too similar to Navratri, and sought another title change or a ban for hurting Hindu sentiments.
