Plot summary
Sunray is a nearly deserted town on the Murray River. The Hurley sisters live there: Vicki-Ann, a brash hair stylist, and Dimity, who is shy and unsmiling and works at a Chinese restaurant owned by Albert. Ken Sherry, a radio host from Brisbane who has been divorced three times, moves into the house next door so he can work at the local station. Vicki-Ann declares at once that she means to date him, but Dimity is the one who sleeps with him first, and she takes the relationship for romance. While Vicki-Ann keeps up her own pursuit, Sherry talks on air about the women he has known.

During the filming of the Silo Scene, stuntman Collin Dragsbaek died when he fell onto a faulty airbag.
