Plot summary
In the Bronx, the Capomezzos are Sicilians born in the borough who run a local catering business, and the Malacicis are recent arrivals from Florence who own a fine Italian restaurant. The two families become bitter rivals. Sadie and Mike Capomezzo cannot stand Piero and Maria Malacici. At the neighborhood church, a staging of Romeo and Juliet brings the Malacicis' daughter, Gina, into the cast opposite Rosario Capomezzo, the Capomezzos' son.
