Plot summary
Daphné is three months pregnant and on a rural vacation with her partner, François. Work forces him back to Paris, and his cousin Maxime, whom Daphné has never met, arrives to stay at the house. For four days the two wait for François to return. Maxime wants to become a novelist, and he and Daphné gradually tell each other about the loves in their lives. Maxime describes Victoire, who was drawn to him, and Sandra, a woman he knew as a child. Daphné describes meeting François, an older documentary filmmaker who hired her as an editor.
