Plot summary
The International Space Station has sat empty for two decades when astronaut Lee Miller arrives as its only crew member, sent to check the structure's safety and make whatever repairs it requires. Not long after, serious disturbances break out on Earth and he loses contact with the ground, stranded in orbit to watch events on his home planet through the station's portholes. He holds on to his sanity by talking to Polaroid photographs of earlier crews still aboard. Power problems send him into an unpressurized module to work on the station, and there he finds the 1864 journal of Captain Lee Briggs, a Union officer writing about a mysterious object he has been sent to investigate.

- The International Space Station set for Love was built in director William Eubank's parents' backyard out of salvaged material including packing quilts, MDF, pizza bags, Velcro, insulation and Christmas lights.
- According to Tom DeLonge, the production had planned to rent the space station set from another movie but instead opted to build it from salvaged materials to save money.
