King Ivory (2025) on Netflix

Plot summary

Fentanyl moves through middle America, and much of it is directed from inside the state penitentiary at McAlester, Oklahoma, a prison known as Big Mac where gangs hold sway. Outside the walls, the trade runs through the Mexican cartel, an Indian Brotherhood War Chief and the local Irish Mob. Layne West is a drug cop working those cases, and his beat is the supply line that reaches from the prison yards to the streets. When his son becomes an addict, the work stops being an assignment, and he sets out to take down the cartel, the war chief and the mob. The story comes out of extensive research with police officers and gang members.
