Plot summary
Brandon is fifteen and fixated on a pair of Bred Air Jordan 1s, convinced that having them on his feet would lift him out of being poor, overlooked by girls and picked on by everyone, his best friends Rico and Albert included. A shop pair costs $350, so he saves and sells candy bars on the streets. A man in the neighborhood selling sneakers out of his car lets him have the pair for $150. Rico and Albert doubt the price, and Brandon invents a story to convince them. At the basketball court a girl takes an interest and asks him to hang out later, and he agrees, blowing off his friends. On the way home, Flaco, a gangster, and his crew beat him, film it and take the shoes.
