Plot summary
Moorkkan and Bhoomi have been friends since their school days, when Bhoomi came to Moorkkan's aid after a bull knocked him down. Caste stands between them. Bhoomi belongs to a lower caste, and Moorkkan's parents have long tried to keep the two apart. Bhoomi works to lift his community out of caste oppression, urging its people to educate themselves and stand up for their rights. When the opposition party, which speaks for the higher caste, runs a poster campaign in the lower-caste neighborhood to draw away its votes, the residents rise in protest. Moorkkan takes Bhoomi's side, setting himself against his own family and the party.
