Plot summary
Amudhavel has spent six years in the United States, away from Cuddalore, and comes home to marry his long-time girlfriend Meenu Kutty. Wedding preparations force him to invite Thamba, the gangster who once had him and his brother Gnanavel jailed on false charges and who left their father Rajarathinam in a wheelchair. While Amudhavel is in Chennai shopping for the wedding with Meenu Kutty, word arrives that Thamba was killed a day earlier. Their history makes Amudhavel the prime suspect. Thamba's men set his house on fire, sending Gnanavel and his family into hiding, and inspector Saravana Vadivel orders Amudhavel to come to Cuddalore and prove his innocence.
