Plot summary
Word reaches Rahul and Arjun Kapoor that their grandfather Amarjeet, 90, has had a cardiac arrest, and the brothers travel to Coonoor, where the family home stands. Rahul writes novels and runs a business in London. Arjun, the younger one, tends bar in New Jersey while trying to get a book published. Harsh and Sunita, their parents, favor Rahul for his success, which upsets Arjun. Harsh opposes Sunita's plan to open a catering business, the household is short of money, and the marriage is fraying. Amarjeet, recovering, asks the family for a photograph titled "Kapoor & Sons, since 1921". At a party Arjun meets Tia Malik, a free-spirited young woman. Rahul meets Tia as well, about a business deal the two are trying to strike.
