Plot summary
Rusy works as a head clerk at the regional transport office in Worli, in Mumbai. His wife is no longer alive, so he shares a small flat in a Parsi colony with his son Kayo and his elderly, grumpy father, Behram. Rusy is a scrupulously honest man and brings his son up the same way. Kayo is mad about cricket, but the household's modest means leave little for kit. The school offers a cricket camp at Lord's Cricket Ground in London, where the boy could play alongside his hero, Sachin Tendulkar, and the fee comes to 1.5 lakh rupees. Behram thinks cricket is a waste of the boy's time, and each plan Rusy makes to find the money falls through, until he takes the cricketer's red Ferrari without letting its owner know.
