Plot summary

Tara Bhalla is a lawyer in Mumbai, staying with her partner Mudassar. After winning her first case she leaves to party and does not answer calls from her mother Gayatri. Her father Harish calls, and a bar waiter tells her that Gayatri has died. Tara makes her way to Chandigarh, her birthplace, to be with Harish. Karan, the eldest son, and his American wife Daisy book a flight from Los Angeles; Angad, the adoptive son, comes from Dubai. Nakul, the youngest, is climbing Mount Everest and cannot be reached, so his father leaves him a message. Tara and Harish argue over the cremation rites, and Harish is furious with Karan and Angad, who he thinks are not affected by their mother's death. Fights break out, and none of them can avoid the days under the same roof.
