Plot summary

Yashvardhan Raichand, a wealthy Delhi industrialist, and his wife Nandini raise two sons, Rahul and Rohan. Rahul is adopted, and the couple bring him up as their own; he grows up vowing to honor the family's traditions. As an adult he falls for Anjali Sharma, a spirited girl who lives in Chandni Chowk, but Yashvardhan has chosen Naina Kapoor for him and objects to the match. Rahul marries Anjali anyway, and his father cuts him off. Ten years on, Rohan returns from boarding school and hears from his grandmothers what became of his brother. He asks his father's permission to study in London, meaning to find Rahul and bring him back.
