Plot summary
Jack Wolfe is a criminal mastermind with a scheme to vanish. He means to stage his own death, collect on an insurance policy, and have his wife's lover blamed for it. Nora Wolfe, his wife, is plotting something of her own: she wants her husband killed for real, and she wants the money and everything else for herself. Husband and wife race to outmanoeuvre each other in a battle of wits.
