Plot summary
After taking the blame for another disastrous advertising campaign, Ota Kiichiro is asked by his arrogant boss Otaki Ichiro to take his place as a judge at the world's biggest advertising competition in Los Angeles.

- The Toyota commercial in the film, credited on screen to the fictional agency Hakufudo, was a real corporate ad produced and released by Hakuhodo Products; it won the Silver prize in the film category at the 53rd Cannes International Advertising Festival in 2006, among prizes at several other ad festivals.
- Three teaser poster and flyer designs, by Akiyama Gugi, Eguchi Rika and Sano Kenjiro, were released and each cinema's manager judged which one their theatre would display, a campaign billed as a first for the film industry.
- A second campaign had the public judge a 15-second commercial shown on the Bic Multi Vision screen at Yurakucho Bic Camera, also called a film-industry first; the "Love Comedy" version won with 221 of 562 votes and was broadcast from January 5.
- The "Tarukaros" that the hero Ota orders from a bartender is the favourite drink of the protagonist of Space Cobra, does not exist in reality, and was slipped into the film by its anime-loving director.
